End-to-end encrypted messages
Today VOYD encrypts messages in transit and at rest, but VOYD holds the encryption keys, so it is not end-to-end encrypted. End-to-end encryption is in development.
What we have shipped recently, and what is still on the way. Release-by-release notes are in the changelog. We only list something as shipped once it is live, and we do not publish release dates for things that are not.

In testing
The Android app is in testing and not yet available to download.
In development
A native macOS app is in development. VOYD runs in the browser and as a Windows desktop app today.
Planned
iPhone and iPad support is on the roadmap.
Moving a community over? Sign in with Discord, preview how your server's channels and categories map to VOYD, including anything that cannot transfer, before anything is created, then import. This brings over structure, not message history.
Search in group DMs now runs on the server instead of only scanning the most recent messages, with a recent window by default and an option to search a group's full history.
Bots can now receive messages from private channels, but only where a server admin explicitly grants that capability when installing the bot.
Search messages in server channels (last 30 days by default) and direct messages (last 90 days by default), with an option to search a conversation's full history.
The Windows app now tells you when an update has downloaded and is ready to install.
Melody joins a voice channel as a participant, plays audio stations, and is controlled with slash commands.
Invite links now offer an "Open in Desktop App" option that hands the invite to the VOYD desktop app.
Apps can sign users in with OAuth2 (authorization code with PKCE). Developers can publish versions of their apps and roll back to an earlier one.
Push-to-talk now uses the desktop app's native key hook, and rebinding a key in settings updates the desktop app's global shortcuts.
Choose how strongly your camera background is blurred: Off, Light, Medium or Strong.
The Windows app can now receive push notifications.
A picture-in-picture voice widget, a grid or stacked layout toggle, click-to-focus on any tile, and background blur.
Developers can build webhook bots and apps with slash commands, interactive components and message events, using a Developer Portal and full developer documentation.
Moderate your Twitch chat from inside VOYD, with an AutoMod panel and bulk actions.
A Live channel type with an embedded Twitch stream and chat in sync, two-way Twitch chat (send messages from VOYD to Twitch), and server controls for who can use them.
Live badges show when someone is streaming on Twitch, Kick or YouTube, and servers can opt in to go-live announcements in a channel they choose.
A desktop overlay that shows your voice channel while you play, with a rebindable shortcut, position presets, a Streamer Mode and optional camera tiles.
Connect Kick, Epic Games and Steam accounts using each service's own sign-in, so connections are verified.
See what game friends are playing, with a privacy toggle to control whether your own activity is shown.
